## Summary

**Remove Francis G. Newlands' name from the Chevy Chase Circle memorial fountain.** The bill would direct the Secretary of the Interior to remove a brass plaque bearing "Senator Francis G. Newlands", the stone tablet inscribed "Francis Griffith Newlands" and related wording on the south face of the fountain, and the "Newlands" carving from the coping stones. It would offer removed items to Newlands' descendants for 60 days and if unclaimed the National Park Service would keep them as federal property and accession them into the Rock Creek Park museum collection.
