## Summary

**Expand crime victims' timely-notice rights to include nonprosecution agreements.** It would also create a private right of action when the government fails to give required notice for plea bargains or deferred prosecution agreements. - Crime victims would get explicit timely-notice rights for nonprosecution agreements. If prosecutors fail to give timely notice about a plea bargain or deferred prosecution agreement the victim could sue in U.S. district court to enforce their remaining rights under the law. - Federal prosecutors would face new legal exposure for missing notice deadlines. That could lead to additional enforcement suits in federal court. - U.S. district courts would be the forum for victims' enforcement actions to seek compliance with the statute.
