## Summary

**Would extend the exemption allowing certain alternative-fuel and clean vehicles to use high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes through September 30, 2031.** It amends Section 166(b)(5)(A) of Title 23, United States Code by replacing the September 30, 2025 expiration date with September 30, 2031 and preserves existing eligibility rules, scope, and enforcement while extending the authorization.
