## Summary

**Targets PFAS in public wastewater systems.** This bill would create an EPA grant program to help owners and operators of publicly owned treatment works plan, design, and build treatment projects and meet pretreatment or effluent limits for PFAS and other emerging contaminants. - Municipal utilities and publicly owned treatment works would be eligible for grants that cover at least 75 percent of estimated costs for planning, design, construction, and compliance projects. - Communities served by those treatment plants would likely see reduced PFAS discharges to waterways, lowering local exposure risks to drinking water and the environment. - The EPA Administrator would have to set up the program within 180 days and may allow state water pollution control revolving fund loans and other public or private funds to count toward the non-Federal match. *Authorizes $200 million per year for FY2026–2028 to fund these grants if enacted.*
