## Summary

**Renames the Department of Defense as the Department of War.** The bill would also change the department head's title to Secretary of War and treats any current legal or regulatory mention of the Department of Defense or Secretary of Defense as referring to the new names, while preserving existing authorities, programs, and funding. - Service members and families: Official forms and titles would use the new department name.
