## Summary

**Would exempt most Department of Defense unaccompanied and family housing from National Historic Preservation Act review.** It would also ban landlords in privatized military housing from requiring nondisclosure agreements and make that ban retroactive. - Families and unaccompanied service members: would remove NHPA review requirements for qualifying DoD housing units. - Tenants and prospective tenants in privatized military housing: would bar landlords from requiring nondisclosure agreements to lease, continue, or end tenancy. NDAs would be valid only if part of a litigation settlement and the ban would apply to existing agreements. - DoD, regulators, and preservation stakeholders: would allow exclusions from the exemption only by regulation, cap excluded units at 0.1% of total DoD unaccompanied and family housing, and forbid excluding units listed on the National Register of Historic Places as of January 20, 2025.
