## Summary

**A recurring Intelligence Community Assessment on climate-related national and economic security.** This bill would require the Director of National Intelligence, acting through the National Intelligence Council, to produce the first assessment within 4 years and then update it at least every 6 years. The assessment is delivered to the congressional intelligence committees and may be classified, but classified submissions must include an unclassified executive summary. - Congress: The congressional intelligence committees would receive a formal, periodic intelligence product to inform oversight and policy on climate-driven security and economic risks. - Intelligence Community: The Director of National Intelligence and the National Intelligence Council would add a standing analytic requirement to produce climate-security assessments on a fixed cadence, creating recurring work and deliverables for analysts. - Policymakers and the public: When the full assessment is classified, an unclassified executive summary must be provided to give accessible findings to decision makers and outside researchers.
