## Summary

**This bill would give general aviation airports the authority to request and implement flight adjustments to reduce aircraft noise.** It pairs FAA consultation, required community input, and protections so airports do not lose federal grants for taking those actions. - Nearby communities gain a formal role because airport owners and operators and the FAA must take local input into account when designing noise-reduction flight or training pattern changes. - Owners and operators of general aviation airports can ask the FAA to make reasonable adjustments to noncommercial charter flight and training patterns to cut noise. They are protected from having federal funds withheld, withdrawn, or denied solely for carrying out these activities. - Operators of noncommercial charter flights may see new limits or route changes at affected general aviation airports, though the FAA may reject or temporarily restrict accommodations in emergencies. - The bill creates a new statutory entry (49 U.S.C. §47535) and directs the Secretary of Transportation to update Federal Aviation Administration regulations in parts 150 and 161 to allow these airport noise measures.
