## Summary

**Expands CFIUS review to cover U.S. government facilities and critical infrastructure, including drinking water.** The bill would also require agencies to maintain and annually review lists of sensitive facilities and to file reports and provide classified briefings to certain Members of Congress. - Agencies that own sensitive sites, including the intelligence community and National Laboratories, would have to review and submit a list of those facilities each year by Jan. 31 and include any recommended updates approved by an Assistant Secretary or equivalent official. - Drinking water systems and other critical infrastructure would be added as grounds for CFIUS review in covered real estate transactions, so transactions tied to those systems could face new scrutiny. - Foreign buyers involved in covered real estate deals near sensitive government facilities or critical infrastructure could face broader filings, reviews, or investigations under CFIUS. - The chairperson would be required to provide classified briefings to certain Members of Congress and their cleared staff upon request about the list of sensitive facilities.
