## Summary

**Creates a Post-Disaster Reforestation and Restoration Program to identify and fund reforestation and ecosystem recovery on federal and tribal lands.** The Secretary of the Interior would lead annual identification of lands that are unlikely to recover on their own and fund priority projects, with the program ending 7 years after enactment. - Federal land managers and agencies would get a coordinated process to list lands needing help within 1 year and propose annual priority projects. Funding would flow through competitively awarded grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements to carry out those projects. - Indian tribes and tribal lands would be explicitly covered because the bill includes Indian Forest Land or Rangeland and allows contracts under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. Agencies must conduct outreach to tribes, Alaska Native organizations, and Native Hawaiian organizations. - Nurseries, seed suppliers, and local partners could receive support since the Secretary may back grants or contracts to ensure adequate seed and seedling availability. The Secretary must report to Congress starting 2 years after enactment and then annually on lands, projects, contracts, outreach, and seed or implementation gaps.
