## Summary

**Creates a federal grant program to fund faith- and community-based efforts to reduce health inequities.** This bill would establish the Health Equity Innovation Grant Program to back local projects that expand culturally and linguistically appropriate care, prevention services, and community health workforce capacity in underserved areas. - Families and local residents in medically underserved communities would gain better access to screenings, tests, preventive care, and help connecting to health services. - Faith- and community-based organizations that have addressed chronic health disparities would become eligible for grants, with priority for groups that ran health programs during a public health emergency. - Grants may pay for community health navigators, promotores de salud, peer support specialists, and other trusted local health workers to diversify and expand the health workforce. *Authorizes appropriations of $50.0 million in FY2026, $55.0 million in FY2027, $60.0 million in FY2028, $65.0 million in FY2029, and $70.0 million in FY2029. Up to 5 percent may be used for administration. These authorizations would enable federal spending at those levels if funded.*
