## Summary

**Expanded civilian space cooperation with Taiwan.** This bill would direct NASA, NOAA, and the State Department to seek partnerships with Taiwan on satellites, space exploration, atmospheric and weather programs and to enable personnel exchanges while following export rules and protecting sensitive U.S. information. - NASA, NOAA, and the State Department would be required to seek engagement with Taiwan within 90 days and could pursue joint satellite programs, space exploration work, and atmospheric and weather initiatives and personnel exchanges. - The bill would authorize cooperation on commercial space and weather technology and services while requiring protection of sensitive information, intellectual property, trade secrets, and U.S. economic interests under applicable export regulations. - Agencies would have to report to the four named congressional committees not later than 270 days after enactment and then annually for five years on activities, challenges, and actions taken under this section.
