## Summary

**Authorizes a Congressional Gold Medal honoring the American hostages and victims of the October 7, 2023 attacks.** The bill would recognize those killed and taken hostage, direct the Secretary of the Treasury to design and strike an appropriate medal, and require the medal be displayed and available for research at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia. It would let the Mint produce and sell bronze duplicates at prices that cover production costs and allow the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund to pay for production and receive proceeds from duplicate sales.
