## Summary

**Bars commercial names, logos, ads, or other outside endorsements from appearing on the White House or its grounds without explicit approval.** Any inscription, engraving, advertisement, or display must be approved by the Speaker of the House, the House Minority Leader, and the White House Curator, with consultation from the Committee for the Preservation of the White House. The Commemorative Works Act also applies to qualifying inscriptions or displays. - Families, donors, and companies: Private individuals and organizations cannot put their names, logos, or ads on the White House or its grounds unless the specified officials sign off. This limits naming and sponsorship visibility at the presidential residence. - White House and congressional officials: Decisions about displays go through a specific approval gate that involves House leadership and the Curator, plus consultation with the preservation committee. - Commemorative displays: Any display that meets the criteria for a commemorative work will follow the rules in the Commemorative Works Act, tying such displays to existing statute.
