## Summary

**Creates an expedited federal approval path for blood centers to add apheresis collection devices to existing biologics licenses (supplemental biologics license applications or BLAs).** It would require the Health and Human Services Secretary to set that process within 180 days and to approve qualifying supplemental BLAs within 30 days unless there are specific safety, purity, potency, or systemic compliance concerns, and it would limit eligibility to operators who hold at least one biologics license and who either have licenses at three or more FDA-registered locations or are accredited and in good standing by an accreditation organization whose standards meet or exceed applicable regulatory requirements.
