## Summary

**Strengthens U.S. defenses against foreign influence in agriculture by expanding review authority and adding agricultural supply chains to national security oversight.** The bill brings agriculture into the center of foreign-investment reviews and requires ongoing threat analysis. - Farmers and agribusiness: Transaction reviews would cover any deal that could give foreign control of U.S. agriculture businesses. This could mean more scrutiny of sales, mergers, transfers, and agreements affecting farms and food companies. - Regulators and national security officials: The Secretary of Agriculture joins the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. Agricultural systems and supply chains are defined as critical infrastructure and as critical technologies, broadening the committee's reach. - Researchers, IP holders, and supply-chain operators: The Secretary of Agriculture and the Comptroller General must each produce an analysis within one year and annually after. Reports must summarize foreign investments, assess risks to production and supply chains, identify top international threats, and describe espionage and theft techniques targeting agricultural innovation.
