## Summary

**Creates paid leave for federal employees whose spouses undergo a permanent change of station.** It adds a new section to title 5 that gives a minimum of 40 hours of paid leave per PCS and prorates leave for part-time schedules. Agencies may grant extra leave. Leave is only for move-related tasks, can be taken intermittently, and must be used within one month of the PCS. Unused leave cannot be cashed out or saved for later moves. Employees must give their agency a copy of the spouse's PCS when requesting leave. The bill covers employees listed in 5 U.S.C. 2105 and certain Postal and Foreign Service related workers and defines PCS to include duty station moves and homeport changes.
