## Summary

**Federal grants and planning help for cities hosting major international sporting events.** This bill would create a new program to fund transportation projects and planning tied to events such as the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cups. It sets who can apply, what counts as a covered event, and a 5‑year pre-event to 30‑day post-event assistance window. - Host cities and metropolitan planning organizations get priority funding. Each host metropolitan planning organization would start with $10.0 million, and any remaining funds for the year would be split among host MPOs for the next covered events. - State, Tribal, and local governments, nearby airports, and eligible rail operators can use grants for permanent transportation projects within 100 miles of the event site. Funds may not be used for temporary infrastructure or bidding activities. - The Department of Transportation would provide technical help and planning support, including intermodal planning, temporary pooling and sharing of buses and equipment, and expedited review of required submissions. *Would authorize federal grants of $50.0 million per year for this program, increasing federal outlays.*
