## Summary

**Allows the Interior to reduce or waive nonfederal cost shares for tribal water projects.** The bill would amend the WaterSMART provisions of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 so the Secretary of the Interior can lower or eliminate a tribe's required nonfederal share for planning, designing, constructing, or carrying out water management improvements and other water-related activities when paying that share would cause financial hardship for an Indian tribe.
