- Stuttering screening in Medicaid well-child visits: benefit, medium. By January 1, 2026, the government would add stuttering screening to child health quality measures for ages 2–5. Starting January 1, 2027, Medicaid well-child visits would include a stuttering screening for children ages 2 through 5. This could help find problems earlier so care can start sooner.
