## Summary

**End hidden mandatory 'junk' fees and force total-price transparency.** This bill would require covered businesses to show the full price up front, ban deceptive or excessive mandatory fees, and give the FTC, FCC, and DOT authority to write and enforce rules for lodging, ticketing, communications, and air travel. - Consumers and families: See the full price at first disclosure for lodging, tickets, and communications. Ticket sellers must disclose the total number of tickets available at least 72 hours before public sale and must provide refunds equal to the total ticket cost when a refund is required. - Communications subscribers: Telecom and broadband providers could no longer charge unreasonable early termination fees and must give prorated credits after termination. Bills and ads must show aggregate pricing and providers must warn about post-promotion rates at least 60 days before a promo ends and 30 days before the rate change. - Air travelers and carriers: Airlines must file quarterly reports on ancillary fee revenue with a breakdown by critical services and class of service. The Department of Transportation will publish a consolidated quarterly comparison and carriers must record whether money came from base fare or an ancillary fee.
