## Summary

**Annual briefings to Congress by cabinet and agency leaders.** This bill would require named department heads and other senior officials to give a yearly briefing to the specific House and Senate committees that oversee them, in the form and manner those committees require. - Agency leaders: About 30 cabinet secretaries, agency heads, and senior officials would have to provide an annual briefing to designated House and Senate committees. - Congressional committees: For each official the bill lists both the Appropriations committees and the primary authorizing committees that should receive the briefing. - Statutory change: The bill would add a new Section 2955 to Subchapter II of Chapter 29 of Title 5, United States Code, titled "Annual briefing to Congress," and amend that subchapter's table of contents.
