## Summary

**FTC review of industry safety tools for minors.** This bill would require the Federal Trade Commission to assess how companies use education, parental and child safety tools, age-appropriate content labels, privacy and other settings to reduce online harms for people under 17 and to recommend improvements to industry, Congress, and agencies. - Families and parents: Would produce clearer information about which tools, labels, and settings actually help protect children and defines a “minor” as anyone under 17. - Platforms and tech companies: Would place industry practices under formal review and yield recommendations aimed at improving product features and safety technologies. - Policymakers and agencies: Would give Congress and federal agencies a report of findings and recommendations, with the review required to start within 6 months and a final report due within 3 years.
