## Summary

**Ban on federal procurement of food with certain color additives.** This bill would bar the head of an executive agency from renewing or entering into contracts to buy food that contains any covered color additive and would require agencies to prioritize food without color additives when available and practicable. Covered additives include Red No. 40, Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6, Green No. 3, Blue No. 1, Blue No. 2, Citrus Red No. 2, and Orange B. It would take effect six months after enactment and apply to contracts entered on or after that date.
