## Summary

**Gives D.C. authority to set and protect the CFO's pay.** This bill would amend Section 424(b)(2)(E) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act to require the Chief Financial Officer be paid the greater of the federal annual pay limit under 5 U.S.C. 5307 for covered employees or a rate established by the District of Columbia. Any D.C.-established rate that applies to an individual serving as CFO could not be reduced during that individual's period of service.
