## Summary

**Expand accreditation beyond NCQA** for Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans by allowing the Secretary to accept other private accrediting organizations that meet Secretary-established standards. The bill would amend the Social Security Act to let organizations with an application approved under section 1852(e)(4)(C) be deemed appropriate by the Secretary for accrediting SNPs, and it creates a pathway beginning in 2026 for those qualifying private accreditors to be used to approve specialized MA plans.
