## Summary

**Designates Burma for temporary protected status (TPS).** This bill would treat Burma as designated under section 244(b)(1)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act and set an 18-month TPS period beginning November 25, 2025. Nationals of Burma could qualify if they have been continuously physically present in the United States since the date of enactment, are admissible and not otherwise ineligible, and register for TPS as the Secretary of Homeland Security establishes. The Secretary must give prior consent for brief emergency travel abroad and will treat returning beneficiaries like other TPS returnees.
