## Summary

**Requires the Energy Secretary to certify that exports of U.S. natural gas to specified foreign "covered nations" are in the public interest for up to one year.** This bill would add a new subsection to the Natural Gas Act so exports to covered nations must get that discretionary certification as well as any existing export order, and each certification would last one year unless the Secretary revokes it.
