## Summary

**Expands federal support for charter school facilities** by creating competitive state grant programs, new financing tools, and technical help so more charter schools can find, fix, and afford buildings. It also sets state-level priorities to steer funds toward low-income and rural communities and requires accountability and reporting rules for recipients. - Charter schools and operators would gain bigger, more flexible facility aid. State grants could cover up to **60 percent** of approved facility costs for up to **five years**, including acquisition, leasing, renovations, and ongoing facility expenses. - State education entities would run competitive State Facilities Aid programs and could set reserve accounts, partner with outside organizations for the non-federal share, and get priority if they offer tax-exempt financing or fair land-use policies. - Schools in low-income and rural areas would get targeted help to access public buildings, state funds, and one-time assistance to meet building codes. The bill also permits a revolving loan fund and limits up to **5 percent** of grants for evaluations and technical assistance.
