## Summary

**Adds U.S. Customs and Border Protection to the list of Department of Homeland Security agencies that can be deployed for violent incidents.** The Homeland Threat Response Act would expand CBP’s authorized duties to include incident response, threat mitigation, resolution, and investigation of violent acts, shootings, and mass killings alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
