## Summary

**Bans federal Medicaid demonstration funding for abortions.** This bill would stop the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services from approving Section 1115 experimental, pilot, or demonstration projects that provide federal money for abortions or for health benefits that include abortions, including travel and lodging costs. - Families and patients: Individuals seeking abortions would not get coverage through Section 1115 demonstration projects, including help with travel or lodging. - States and programs: States could not use Section 1115 waivers to provide federally funded abortion coverage in Medicaid (Title XIX) or the Children's Health Insurance Program (Title XXI). - Exceptions: Coverage through demonstrations would still be allowed for abortions due to rape or incest, to treat life‑threatening pregnancy conditions as certified by a physician, and for miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.
