## Summary

**Ban on air transport of adult roosters.** This bill would bar air carriers from knowingly transporting an adult rooster in interstate or foreign air transportation unless the shipment starts or ends at a commercial farm and serves a legitimate agricultural purpose. A commercial farm must show $350,000 or more in annual gross cash farm income as classified by the USDA Economic Research Service and provide documentation to the carrier before transport. Enforcement would be by the Secretary of Transportation in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, violations would carry civil penalties, states could adopt stricter rules, and the rule would take effect 180 days after enactment.
