## Summary

**Improve wildfire forecasting and early detection.** This bill would direct the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to create a program that develops better wildfire and smoke forecasts, improves risk communication, and enables earlier detection using advanced satellites, fuel-moisture assessments, coupled atmosphere-fire models, and research testbeds. - Families and communities: Would get clearer fire and smoke forecasts and warnings to help reduce loss of life, injury, and property damage. - Emergency managers and first responders: Would gain tools to better predict fire spread and smoke, helping with evacuation timing and resource staging. - Researchers, industry, and NOAA: Would fund weather research testbeds to build advanced satellite detection, grid-based fuel moisture outlooks, and coupled modeling.
