## Summary

**Ends automatic pay increases for Members of Congress.** The bill would repeal paragraph (2) of section 601(a) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 to eliminate automatic adjustments for congressional pay and would make technical, conforming edits to that section. The change would take effect on the day the 120th Congress convenes. After that date any change to Members' pay would have to be enacted by law rather than applied automatically.
