## Summary

**Natural born citizen requirement for federal judges.** This bill would bar anyone who is not a natural born U.S. citizen from being appointed as a United States judge. It would also require any sitting U.S. judge who holds both U.S. and foreign citizenship to renounce the foreign citizenship within 60 days or leave the bench. - Prospective judicial nominees: Would be ineligible for appointment unless they are natural born U.S. citizens. - Sitting judges with dual citizenship: Must officially renounce foreign citizenship within 60 days of enactment or resign.
