## Summary

**Would ban federal funding for state firearm ownership databases.** The bill would bar Federal agencies from funding or supporting the creation or maintenance of databases that list firearms lawfully owned or the individuals who own them. It defines "State" to include the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories. An exception allows funding for databases that list firearms or owners reported lost or stolen.
