## Summary

**This bill would aim to _increase women’s participation in NIH-supported clinical trials_** and spur development of treatments for rare diseases that disproportionately affect women. It directs targeted outreach, two focused awareness campaigns, and a new interagency task force to coordinate research and measure progress. - Would boost enrollment and engagement of women in NIH-conducted or NIH-supported clinical trials and in HHS programs for bleeding and clotting disorders, with priority on rare diseases that affect women. - Would fund two separate public awareness campaigns. Each campaign is authorized $10 million per year for fiscal years 2027–2031 to support outreach at hospitals, clinics, physicians’ offices, and other sites. - Would create a permanent Interagency Task Force on Advancing Treatments for Rare Diseases made up of federal health leaders and appointed public and advocacy representatives to assess programs, coordinate incentives for research, and identify measurable outcomes. The Task Force would be set up within 90 days and HHS would produce an action plan within 180 days for public posting and submission to Congress. *Would authorize $10 million per year for each awareness campaign for 2027–2031, totaling $20 million per year during that period and thus increasing federal spending in those years.*
