## Summary

**This bill would designate the Red Star Service Banner as a commemorative symbol to honor U.S. service members and veterans who died by suicide and to recognize their families' sacrifice. It would fix the banner's design to a white field with a blue border and a single red star, allow display in six specific settings including homes of immediate family, veterans service organizations, workplaces and businesses, public and community buildings, and other appropriate locations, extend the same display rights to families of first responders who died by suicide, and require the Department of Veterans Affairs to use existing resources to implement the change.**
