## Summary

**Preserve approval continuity for public housing projects that convert to RAD.** This bill would let projects with plans approved under section 7 of the U.S. Housing Act keep those approvals when they move into the Rental Assistance Demonstration program and continue to use the same approval process for future actions. - Public housing agencies and owners would be able to keep an existing section 7 approval during RAD conversion, including any terms or conditions tied to that approval. - Residents would keep the protections and certified standards that are part of the retained approval. - Projects that retain approval must go through the same certification process under section 9 of the U.S. Housing Act that applied at initial certification. - The bill defines "rental assistance demonstration program" as the RAD described in the 2012 HUD appropriations law.
