## Summary

**Extend staffing protections and require public DoD/VA reporting to speed consideration of PTSD and TBI-related military discharge appeals.** This bill would keep personnel levels at service review agencies in place through Dec. 31, 2030 and would require the Department of Defense to deliver an unclassified report within 180 days that analyzes timelines, staffing, and recommendations to expedite cases. - Veterans and service members with discharges or dismissals tied to post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injury would get a formal review of how long boards take and recommendations to move cases faster. - Service review agencies could not have their assigned personnel reduced until Dec. 31, 2030, preserving staff available to process appeals and reviews. - The Department of Defense would report, by military department, the timeframes, staffing counts, explanations for differences, and suggested fixes. The report must be unclassified, have an executive summary posted on DoD and VA websites, and be followed by a briefing to Armed Services and Veterans' Affairs committees within 30 days of submission.
