## Summary

**Blocks federal immigration enforcement around 2026 World Cup events.** This bill would bar the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice from using federal funds to carry out civil immigration enforcement within one mile of any 2026 FIFA World Cup match or FIFA Fan Festival, except in four narrow exigent circumstances. - Fans and nearby families would face reduced civil immigration enforcement inside a one mile zone around matches and fan festivals, easing enforcement pressure while events run. - People living or working near venues would be protected from routine civil immigration enforcement within that boundary unless an exigent exception applies, such as imminent risk of death or violence, national security threats, hot pursuit, or destruction of evidence. - The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice would be restricted from spending federal funds on civil immigration enforcement in these zones and would only act under the bill's defined emergency exceptions.
