## Summary

**Mandatory fertilizer price reporting** would require manufacturers and many wholesalers to report weekly prices and quantities for major fertilizer nutrients and products so farmers and market participants get timely market information and competition improves. - Manufacturers and wholesalers must report weekly prices and quantities for nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium and for fertilizer products. - Cooperatives and retailers are exempt from mandatory reporting but can voluntarily and confidentially submit data, except for retailers that are also manufacturers. - The Department of Agriculture would publish reported data and retail survey estimates at least weekly on national and regional dashboards to help farmers estimate local prices. - The Secretary may run competitive effects analyses and must aggregate data to protect confidential business information. Reported information is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act and may be shared for enforcement as allowed.
