## Summary

**Directs a feasibility study of a selective water withdrawal system at Glen Canyon Dam to optimize hydropower generation and prevent invasive species entrainment.** This bill would require the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Commissioner of Reclamation and consulting with the Secretary of Energy and Colorado River Storage Project power contractors, to carry out a study that includes hydrological modeling and follows the 2016 Long-Term Experimental and Management Plan Record of Decision and the 2024 supplemental environmental impact statement. The study must be completed within 18 months. If an alternative is found feasible and the power contractors concur, the Secretary may begin compliance and construction of the chosen option. Study costs would be paid from appropriated Federal funds that are nonreimbursable and nonreturnable, and the Secretary must identify available funding sources within 90 days. It preserves the post-2026 reservoir operations guidelines and strategies for Lake Powell and Lake Mead.
