## Summary

**Favor lower-cost generics and biosimilars on Medicare Part D formularies.** This bill would require prescription drug plan sponsors to place lower-priced generics and at least two lower-priced biosimilars in preferred formulary positions and bar access limits that are stricter than those applied to the reference drug. The rule would take effect for plan years beginning January 1, 2027.
