## Summary

**Requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide Congress a briefing within 180 days on readiness to open the El Paso VA Medical Center under construction.** The briefing would address staffing needs and recruitment, workforce stability and hiring capacity, the timeline for procuring and installing medical equipment, the specialty care services to be offered, local demand and any planned transfers of care, coordination with Department of Defense facilities including William Beaumont Army Medical Center, and access or travel issues for rural and urban veterans and plans to address them for the Senate and House Veterans' Affairs and Appropriations committees.
