## Summary

**A guaranteed 5% set-aside for walking, biking, and nonmotorized trails on federal lands.** This bill would require the Secretary of Transportation to reserve at least 5% of funds from the Federal Lands Transportation Program and the Federal Lands Access Program for active transportation projects and related safety and accessibility work. - Families, older adults, and people with disabilities would get safer routes to schools, shops, and services through projects that include Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. - Pedestrians, cyclists, and trail users would benefit from more sidewalks, bike lanes, pedestrian and bicycle signals, lighting, traffic calming, and converted rail-trails. - Funds from the Federal Lands Transportation Program and the Federal Lands Access Program (sections 203 and 204) would be combined and at least 5% set aside each year for active transportation.
