## Summary

**Wellness programs for school personnel.** This bill would authorize federal funding for staff wellness from fiscal years 2026 through 2030 and create competitive five-year grants to states that subgrant to local school districts. - School personnel: Teachers, administrators, and support staff would get funding to develop or expand programs in every elementary and secondary school served by participating districts. Programs must target stress management, workload manageability, workplace conditions, access to support, and job satisfaction. - State and local education agencies: State educational agencies would receive competitive five-year grants and must apply with plans that describe workforce challenges, consult with local leaders, and evaluate program effectiveness. The Department would give priority to states with administrator or educator shortages. - Accountability and outcomes: States must report annually for the first four years and file a final report within 180 days after the grant ends. Reports must describe programs and assess effects on retention, vacancy rates, school climate, morale, and staff well-being using staff surveys.
