## Summary

**Creates a 25-year mandatory minimum or life sentence for attempted assassination of top federal officials.** This bill would amend 18 U.S.C. §351 and §1751 to require that anyone who attempts to kill the officials listed in those sections, including Members of Congress, Cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, the President, the Vice President, and designated presidential staff, face at least 25 years' imprisonment or life.
