## Summary

**This bill would let semiconductor facilities located in outer space claim the federal advanced manufacturing investment credit.** - Space semiconductor companies would be able to treat equipment used for on-orbit manufacturing and supporting operations as qualified property for the credit even if some gear is used to transport crew or supplies or is not physically in orbit. - U.S. owners of such on-orbit facility property would get clarified tax treatment when the property is launched from the United States. - Rockets and similar launch vehicles are explicitly excluded from the definition of qualified property and would not qualify for the credit.
