## Summary

**A label for gender identity content in children's video programming.** This bill would have the Federal Communications Commission create a "gender identity" content descriptor and require distributors to transmit it with shows marketed to children so parental controls can use it. - Families: Parents would get a machine-readable content signal for programming that depicts, discusses, or promotes gender identity so devices like the V-chip and other parental-control tools can block or filter it where technically feasible. - Distributors and producers: Would need to transmit the descriptor with any video programming that contains that content and is marketed to children, including programs rated TV-Y, TV-Y7, or TV-G. - FCC and rules: Within 90 days of enactment the FCC would check whether the voluntary TV Parental Guidelines already include and transmit the descriptor and if they have not would write regulations. The section also expressly says it may not be construed to ban or censor any video programming.
